We grind and machine a variety of products that include: Close tolerance sheets and plates, Weldments, Forgings and Castings, Shear Blade Sharpening, Machine Resurfacing (Beds, Columns, Saddles, etc.) We are experts in working with large products few grinding facilities are equipped to accommodate. Schaffer Grinding offers highly precise Blanchard grinding services tailored to diverse applications. We cater to industries ranging from Aerospace to Automotive and produce customized products through Blanchard grinding, such as OEM components, forgings, dies, and more.
Our experienced team works to tolerances of ±.001 in. for flat or parallel measurements, perpendicularity, or other dimensions, with the possibility of achieving even tighter tolerances. With Blanchard grinding, we can provide surface finishes of up to 63 or a standard finish of 125 RMS.
Our steel grinding services are among the most productive in the country. We operate several large, Blanchard rotary grinding machines. The largest in the country. . Our largest Schaffer reciprocating grinder boasts a 700 HP motor and covers plates 320″ swing. This machine helps us efficiently grind long steel bars and plate.
